The upper clamp is the better type with screw ridges embossed in the band rather than punched out as in previous examples. Note the depressions in the hose (arrow) where a second clamp was fitted. The broken clamp is now in the bottom of the bilge and the second clamp still holding. Unfortunately, it too is rusted and needs to be replaced.
